Human Trafficking
Everyone – regardless of race, age, location or socioeconomic status – is vulnerable to becoming a victim of sex trafficking. Runaways, kids involved with the foster or juvenile justice system, children of color and those who identify as LGBTQ+ are particularly vulnerable.
FLITE Center provides trauma-responsive help for sex trafficked children and young adults in many Florida counties. Survivors are supported by a team of professionals, including Survivor-Mentors, Regional Advocates, Victim Service Coordinators, and Clinicians, who work together to provide emergency stabilization, individualized wellness plans, ongoing support and more. Referrals are for individuals aged 10 to 24 who are verified or suspected of being sex trafficked, regardless of gender, sexual orientation or disability.
The 24-hour referral line for Broward County is (954) 649-8700.
